Extract from 1851 Census - Sarah Atkinson (? Rigg )
Did the enumerator, perhaps in a rush, glance at the list and wrote Atkinson by mistake? I have been unable to find any other 'Sarah' and all
the other facts ( mother, father, sister etc ) point to this Sarah being the correct one ( ?...but why Atkinson, which was her Mother's maiden name. )
